2022–Present. New Directions Counseling Services—Pittsburgh, PA
Position: Clinical Lead
Program Overview: Clinic providing psychotherapy, nutrition, and psychiatry services as well as postgraduate training programs.
Duties: Provision of psychotherapy services to adults and teens. Responsibities include supervision and consultation to pre- and post-licensed therapists, and assistance in the development of a doctoral and masters level training program.
2019–2022. Fred Finch Youth & Family Services—Oakland, CA
Position: Assistant Director/Clinical Manager
Program Overview: Residential treatment and academic services for adolescents with autism, developmental delays, and mental health challenges in a year-long residence, a brief crisis-stabilization residence, and a special education school.
Duties: Provided clinical supervision and management to a team of therapists, residential youth counselors, and behavior analysts. Responsible for managing progress note productivity, clinical documentation, in-service training, program referrals and intakes, development of assessments and treatment plans, and providing clinical services when necessary.
2014–2019. Timothy Murphy School—San Rafael, CA
Position: Clinical Director
Program Overview: A non-public, special education school that served students in grades 2-12 with profound emotional and behavioral disturbances, often due to developmental trauma. A majority of students were foster youth.
Duties: Developed a trauma-informed mental health program, created a masters-level practicum training program in partnership with a local university, implemented the school’s Positive Behavior Support System, provided clinical supervision and training to masters and doctoral level trainees, provided individual trauma-informed psychotherapy services, administrated and interpreted psychosocial and academic assessment batteries, and served as acting school administrator when the Principal was unavailable.
2012–14. The Miri Center at Toyon Elementary—San Jose, CA
Position: Clinical Psychologist
Program Overview: Contracted through the Miri Center, provided clinical services to a Counseling Enriched Special Day Class in a public elementary for students with a significant Emotional Disturbance.
Duties: Designed and implemented a trauma-informed therapeutic program, provided milieu, group, and individual psychotherapy services, implemented the Behavior Management System for the classroom, conducted psychological assessments, and developed and provided in-service training to school staff addressing behavior, trauma, and other mental health issues.
2011-12. Psychological Services Center at Alliant University—Oakland, CA
Position: Pre-Doctoral Intern
Program Overview: A community clinic providing psychological services for adults, adolescents, and families.
Duties: Provided milieu, group, and individual psychotherapy services for a Counseling Enriched Special Day Class at Christensen Middle School in Livermore, CA. Provided child and family therapy for in-clinic PSC clients. Completed comprehensive psychological assessment batteries.
